inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police are continuing their investigation into the deaths of three people in a rented house in the Warakas area of ​​Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. To date, police have questioned at least 10 witnesses.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Superintendent Onkoseno Grandiarso Sukahar, stated that the witness questioning took place near the crime scene. 

"The investigation is still ongoing, and it is possible that the number of witnesses will increase," he said, as reported by RRI on Monday (1/5/2026).

In addition to questioning witnesses, he revealed that investigators are awaiting the results of forensic laboratory tests to gather further supporting evidence. The examination at the lab is being conducted intensively.

He also stated that the suspicion of poisoning is still under investigation. Several pieces of evidence have been secured and taken to the lab.

"For now, we are focusing on the food and drinks found at the scene. The drinks in question are a liquid substance that we will later compare with the results of the examination of the victim's body," he said.

Police are still investigating the possibility of criminal activity in the incident, including the suspicion of the presence of dangerous substances such as cyanide, which has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, one surviving victim is reportedly improving. Police have requested limited information and will conduct further investigation once their condition permits.

It is understood that the victim's family had only moved into the rented house for about a month or so and were registered as new residents of the neighborhood.
