Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar.  The body of Brazilian hiker Juliana Marins (27), who died after falling from Mount Rinjani on 21 June 2025, was repatriated Monday night  (30/6/2025) by Emirates.

“All flight routes for her repatriation have been approved,” said Bali Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Juliana’s body was flown from Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport and is expected to arrive in Brazil on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, East Lombok Sub-regional Police are investigating whether negligence played a role.

“We’ve questioned several witnesses, including the trekking organizer, guide, porter, and forestry police,” said Assistant Senior Inspector I Made Dharma Yulia Putra.

Authorities are also coordinating with Brazilian Embassy experts and have conducted a site inspection.

The head of Rinjani National Park, Lidya Saputro, said they are evaluating existing safety protocols.

Juliana was found dead on 24 June 2025, three days after she was reported to have fallen about 600 meters off the Rinjani trail.
