Inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari.  West Papua Regional Police reported a shooting incident involving unknown gunmen during a routine patrol by Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officers in Bamusbama Village, Yembun District, Tambrauw, on Saturday (30/11/2024).

Senior Superintendent Ongky Isgunawan, the West Papua Head of Public Relations, said that the Brimob team was patrolling from Fef District to Bamusbama when they were shot at about 342 meters from the Yembun District office.

No injuries were reported although the gunfire hit the back of the vehicle the officers were using. After the attack, the Brimob team conducted a search but the attackers managed to flee into the forest, according to antaranews.com.
