Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State food agency Bulog confirmed that all rice distributed to the public is locally sourced and meets national quality and health standards.
“Bulog rice is quality rice, healthy, safe, and proudly produced by Indonesian farmers,” said Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani at the launch of Befood Sentra Ramos’ new premium rice packaging in Jakarta on Sunday (2/11/2025).
He said that Bulog procures rice directly from farmers across the archipelago, from Sabang to Merauke, reflecting its commitment to strengthening food security and supporting local producers.
Rizal added that Indonesia’s rice reserves remain secure at around 4.2 million tons, the highest in national history, supported by more than 3 million tons absorbed from farmers.
Bulog conducts routine inspections and reprocessing when necessary to maintain rice quality. Damaged rice unfit for consumption is repurposed as animal feed to prevent waste and preserve economic value.
