Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. State logistics company Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani assured the public that rice prices remain stable and within government-set price ceilings ahead of New Year 2026, following a market inspection in Bandung, West Java, on Sunday (28/12/2025).
“Staple food prices are very stable. Premium rice is sold at Rp 14,900 per kilogram, while medium rice is at Rp 13,500 per kilogram, both in line with the retail price ceiling,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Ahmad added that Bulog’s SPHP rice is priced at Rp 12,500 per kilogram, while other essentials such as cooking oil, sugar, and eggs are also under control. The stability, he noted, reflects strong coordination between local governments and law enforcement. SHPH is a government program for distributing subsidized, low-cost rice to control market prices.
Ahmad confirmed national rice stocks stand at around 3.56 million tons, with approximately 540,000 tons in West Java, ensuring sufficient supply. Bulog urged traders to report irregular pricing to authorities to safeguard food affordability during the holiday period.
