Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung. The Lampung Regional Police are pursuing the owner of a car believed to have abandoned large quantities of narcotics on the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road.
The car was found after a crash with no driver at the scene, prompting a full investigation, according to antaranews.com.
“We are pursuing the party responsible for the attempted narcotics smuggling,” said Lampung Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Yuni Iswandari on Friday (21/11/2025). She confirmed that police are working to identify the owner of the crashed vehicle discovered at KM 136 of the toll road.
Authorities said the case began when toll road patrol officers found a black car that had crashed with no occupants. After a nearby inspection, officers discovered a blue bag containing additional bags with suspicious items.
“During joint inspection, 34 packages suspected to be narcotics were found inside the bags,” Chief Yuni said.
The evidence has been handed over to the Lampung Police Narcotics Directorate for immediate processing while the search continues for the suspected trafficker.
