Number of Indonesia National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police vehicles were released at the Riau Islands Regional Police Headquarters, Monday (19/07/2021), to distribute social assistance to people in need and affected by the implementation of emergency PPKM. In a symbolic ceremony, Chief of Riau Islands Regional Police, Police Inspector General Aris Budiman, together with Commander of 033/WP Military Region Command, Commander of IV Indonesian Navy's Main Base, Head of Regional State Intellegence Agency (Kabinda), Deputy Chief of Riau Islands Regional Police, Regional Superintendent od Riau Islands Regional Police, High Rank Officers of Riau Islands Regional Police and Indonesia National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police personnels handed over the assistance to representatives of housewives and construction workers. On this occasion, Head of Public Affairs of Riau Islands Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Harry Goldenhardt S., said 2.5 tons of rice had been distributed to people in need. The distribution was carried out by Indonesia National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police. Total rice to be distributed is 10 tons. The distribution will be conducted in stafes, and this time is the second time. Head of Public Affairs of Riau Islands Regional Police hoped the assisstance could ease the burden of community who are affected by emergency PPKM. "Targets of the assistance provided include housewives, small traders, construction workers, online motorcycle taxis and people living poverty. They will be the target of the distribution of this social assistance. We hope this assistance can help people affected by emergency PPKM," Head of Public Affairs of Riau Islands Regional Police added. "In this distribution, we have previously mapped and collected data on people who need assistance and this data has also been synchronized with data from local Social Agency. There are 100 Indonesia National Armed Forces-Indonesia National Police personnels to be deployed in the distribution of the assistance," Head of Public Affairs of Riau Islands Regional Police concluded.
