Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the officers were drawn from the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional POlice, Central Jakarta Police, and local police offices. The security detail covers the entire event, from the main ceremony and parade to the public concert.
Chief Susatyo emphasized a human-centered approach, confirming that officers on duty carried no firearms.
“We want to maintain a family-friendly and safe environment,” he said as quoted by antaranews.com, urging officers to guide visitors politely.
Chief Susatyo also reminded the public to stay alert in crowds and safeguard valuables such as phones and wallets. Additional medical posts have been set up around Monas to assist visitors experiencing fatigue or minor health issues.
Traffic flow around Monas square will be managed situationally, with potential rerouting to prevent congestion.
