Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police  (Kapolda Metro Jaya),  Police Inspector General Muhammad Fadil Imran, orders his staffs to eradicate drug network and trafficking in the jurisdiction of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police “My order is clear. All Chiefs of Resort Police at Drugs Investigation Directorate need to reveal the drug network thoroughly, eradicate drug network that supplies drug in Jakarta,” as said by Kapolda. Kapolda Metro Jaya delivered the order during the press release of disclosing the international drug network at International N1, KS Tubun, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (May 11, 2021). Kapolda also mentions that the police will rehabilitate victims of drug abuse. “We will rehabilitate the victim of drug abuse. However, the drug dealer along with the network will be exterminated, so there will be no locations identified as high-intensity drug trafficking area that are very harmful to our young generation,” he added. With the support of the Drug Investigation Directorate of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Drug Investigation Unit at Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat) managed to uncover drug dealing of 310 kg of crystal methamphetamine –known as Sabu in Bahasa Indonesia. The investigation is the most prominent case for Resort Police. The methamphetamine is suspected from Iran and distributed by the Nigerian drug syndicate to Indonesia.
