Chief of Indonesian National Police Receives Visit of UN Delegation

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received a visit from the UN delegation led by Csr. Faisal Shahkar at the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, today (8/6/23). The honorary visit was also attended by key officials from the Indonesian National Police Headquarters.

"I received a courtesy call from the UN delegation (UNHQ New York) at the National Police Headquarters," said Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on his official Instagram account, Thursday (8/6/23).

Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo explained that INP’s contribution to the UN peacekeeping mission is currently ranked 8th in the world. According to him, since 1989 INP has sent 3,175 personnel on 20 missions who are members of the Formed Police Unit (FPU) and Individual Police Officers (IPO).

According to Police General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Indonesian National Police will continue to strengthen cooperation with the United Nations and are committed to continuing to contribute to peace missions.

"It is hoped that in the future, consistency will foster confidence in being able to fill a new UN peacekeeping mission and a strategic position for a career in the UN," explained Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
