Inp.polri.go.id - Beijing. China government stressed that strategic cooperation between China and Indonesia is increasingly vital as global tensions escalate. 

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday (14/4/2025) that the partnership holds greater urgency as the world faces rising geopolitical uncertainty.

Speaking in a press briefing, he marked the 75th anniversary of China–Indonesia diplomatic relations, noting the two nations as key players in the Global South. He emphasized their shared role in shaping a more balanced and multipolar global order.

“China and Indonesia are both major developing countries and essential forces in the Global South. Their cooperation has strategic significance and global influence,” Lin said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He added that President Xi Jinping and President Prabowo Subianto exchanged congratulatory messages, committing to deepening bilateral ties and supporting each country’s path to modernization.
