Inp.polri.go.id - Cianjur. The Cianjur Sub-regional Police officers distributed approximately 2,000 protective face masks to motorists along main arterial roads in West Java on Sunday (6/9/2026) following volcanic ashfall from Mount Anak Krakatau reaching the regency.

Led by Cianjur Police Chief Superintendent Alexander Yurikho Hadi, officers distributed masks to motorcyclists near the Lampu Gentur roundabout in By Pass Cianjur to prevent respiratory health issues caused by thick volcanic ash.

"We distributed 2,000 masks so motorists can protect themselves from volcanic ash while conducting outdoor activities," he said. "Residents experiencing respiratory discomfort are urged to contact the Call Center 110 for immediate police and medical assistance."

In addition to mask distribution, Cianjur Police continue delivering 10,000 liters of clean water daily via water tankers and water cannons to drought-affected communities across eight districts in coordination with local disaster agencies, as reported by antaranews.com.
