Indonesian Cultural Figure Romo Antonius Benny Susetyo states political elites has to become the prime example for the whole community to ensure a safe and secure election. “Between words and actions must be aligned,” he said during public dialogue on Wednesday (11/29/2023). The public dialogue was hold by the Indonesian National Police in anticipation for Christmas and New Year Holiday. According to Romo Antonius, building democracy with Pancasila values is of great importance. He stressed that democracy is closely related to Pancasila values discussion, consensus and common ground. Romo hopes to those who runs for 2024 General Elections would be able to show their quality as someone who can uphold democracy. politics of ideas, he said, would be the best example for election participants in upholding Pancasila democracy.
