“These experts will provide input, studies, and policy recommendations in line with their respective expertise to support the council’s duties,” said Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait, the Head of Information Bureau at the Defense Ministry, as quoted by antaranews.com
The appointments were officiated by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin at the ministry’s headquarters. Besides Noe Letto, the experts include lawyer Frank Alexander Hutapea, the eldest son of lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea.
According to the Chief Rico, the team will contribute multidisciplinary strategic perspectives, ranging from social and cultural analysis to strategic communication, to enrich national defense policymaking.
All recommendations will be delivered through formal council mechanisms, with final decisions remaining institutional and under the authority of the council’s leadership. The ministry stressed that the selection is based solely on professional competence to strengthen Indonesia’s defense policy framework.
