The East Java Regional Task Force Team of the 88 Special Detachment (Densus) Anti-Terrorism invited to a seminar titled "Socialization on the Prevention of Radical Terrorism, Building Student Ideological Resilience, and the Strategic Role of Educators in Countering Radicalism from an Early Age,".

The team served as speakers at the seminar and attended by 50 Islamic boarding school administrators and educators throughout Surabaya.

This activity aimed to improve the collaboration with Islamic boarding school educators throughout Surabaya to prevent the development of Intolerance, Radicalism, Extremism, and Terrorism (IRET) in East Java.

Police Assistant Superintendent Dani Teguh Wibowo, a member of Densus 88 Anti-Terrorism unit stated that terrorism is an extraordinary crime that uses violence, ideological and political motives to disrupt national security. He also emphasized the importance of vigilance and discretion in using social media to prevent exposure to IRET ideology.

The event also featured the experiences of a former terrorism convict, Arif Fatoni, who shared his knowledge about the dangers of IRET ideology and the importance of early prevention.

This activity is expected to raise awareness and strengthen the role of Islamic boarding school educators in preventing the spread of IRET ideology and building students' ideological resilience. This will, in turn, foster a safe and harmonious environment within the Islamic boarding school and the surrounding community.
