inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Minister of Population and Family Development/Vice Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, stated that the Free Health Check (CKG) Program for students, which begins today, is a manifestation of health equity.
"We want to ensure that all citizens receive free, quality health services. This is not just about health, it's about justice," said Ratu Ayu on Monday (August 4, 2025).
The CKG program targets students from grades 1 to 12 in various educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This program represents a concrete commitment of the President Prabowo Subianto-Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration to realize the fourth AstaCita.
"This program embodies the fourth AstaCita, namely improving the quality of human resources to achieve a Golden Generation," said Ratu Ayu.
She emphasized that the CKG in schools is part of the Fast Best Results Program (PHTC), which aims to detect health problems early, prevent complications, and reduce the risk of disability and death.
The examinations included nutritional status, dental health, eye health, ear health, blood pressure, reproductive health, as well as screening for anemia and infectious diseases.
Ratu Ayu also highlighted the importance of providing iron supplements to adolescent girls as an early prevention of stunting.
"Iron supplements are crucial because these adolescent girls will grow up to be future mothers. If the mother is anemic, the risk of giving birth to a stunted baby increases," said the Vice Minister.
As of August 1, 2025, more than 16 million residents had received the CKG service program.
Specifically, for the School CKG Program, this program targets more than 53 million students, marking the largest beneficiary coverage in the history of the national health sector. In addition to students, teachers and education personnel are also targeted through services at Primary Health Facilities (FKTP).
