The Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Makarim says digital literacy understanding for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) management, especially in Ministries, are the key for the success of Gerakan Merdeka Belajar. “The digitalization of ASN management has become important amidst the current technological advancement,” says Nadiem in a press conference on Tuesday (3/26/2024). Nadiem says that the digitalization of ASN management is not only through digital equipment procurement, but also the training for the user in operating the technology. Furthermore, Nadiem explains the capabilities of digital literacy are divided into four dimensions, which are digital skills dimension, digital ethics dimension, digital culture dimension, and digital security dimension. According to Nadiem, through understanding of the four dimensions, the HR of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology could have a resilient character, high nationalism, and great communication skills. In response, the Education, Culture, Research and Technology Ministry welcomes the draft from the Communication and Informatics Ministry in training the digital sector for their ASN. “The training hopefully could be useful for our ASN as we boosted the innovation culture, improved our work efficiency, and provided added value in services to the community,” hoped Minister Nadiem.
