Inp.polri.go.id - Manado. Former National Narcotics Agency (BNN) chief, Commissioner General rRet.) Petrus R. Golose, led a group of over 20 retired police generals back to their hometown in North Sulawesi to become anti-narcotics ambassadors.

"Representing the Bhayangkara Kawanua group, I thank you for welcoming us. It's not easy to gather this many generals," he said on Monday (4/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He cited drug use prevalence in Indonesia at 1.73% or 3.3 million people, which is higher than North Sulawesi's population of 2.6 million.

“North Sumatra has the highest prevalence,” Petrus noted.

The group aims to spread prevention messages and support BNN North Sulawesi's work.

BNN North Sulawesi Chief Brigadier General Pitra A. Ratulangi appreciated the visit, saying their work includes prevention, eradication, abuse control, and rehabilitation (P4GN).

The group later met North Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Roycke H. Langie.
