Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Police states the 2024 Jaya Safety Operation has recorded around 40 traffic incidents since its operation period on March 4th to March 7th, 2024.
“This should be our wake-up call that if we are driving recklessly and ignore the traffic laws, we are prone to accidents,” said Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam on Friday (3/8/2024).
On the other hand, Indonesian National Police Public Information Chief, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko detailed that since the beginning of the operation to this day, there are 30,468 traffic violations recorded. Among those numbers, violations recorded by ETLE is 6,617 while the other 23,851 are recorded through manual traffic law enforcement operations.
Moreover, Trunoyudo continued that the highest violations committed by two-wheeled vehicle drivers is by not wearing helmet, which there are 1,574 cases recorded. Meanwhile, the highest violations committed by four-wheeled vehicle drivers is by not wearing seat-belts, with 2,968 cases recorded.
“Therefore, police need to implore the public to continue maintain security and order in traffic for smooth and safe traffic,” said Trunoyudo.
