inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Stella Christie, emphasized that education and national service are forms of contemporary struggle to continue the ideals of the heroes.
"We must be grateful for the struggle of the past heroes who gave us independence. However, the struggle is not over; there are still many shackles in the world of education that we must overcome together," said Stella on Monday (11/10/2025).
She emphasized that education is the main path to national progress, because through science and innovation, the younger generation can continue the struggle in a form that is relevant to the times.
Stella stated that every small step in the world of education, whether teaching, research, or service, has great significance for the state's intellectual freedom.
According to her, this spirit aligns with the Asta Cita of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, which emphasize the importance of national resilience, educational advancement, social justice, and the development of healthy, intelligent, and empowered Indonesians.
Agreeing with Stella, Vice Minister of Culture, Giring Ganesha, urged the public to appreciate the struggles of these heroes as inspiration for concrete action.
He highlighted three key values that can be emulated from these heroes: patience, selfless devotion, and foresight.
"Today's struggle is no longer fought with sharpened bamboo spears, but with knowledge, empathy, and devotion," said Giring.
