inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Mobile Brigade Corps of Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police responded to an embankment breach in Kampung Bendungan, Pantai Bakti Village, Muara Gembong District, Bekasi Regency, on Tuesday (January 20, 2026). 

Since midday, personnel have been working at the location to assist with emergency response efforts, along with relevant agencies and the local community.

Upon arrival, the team found residential areas submerged in water due to the breach. Working in collaboration with relevant agencies, police personnel and locals carried out temporary repairs to the embankment through mutual cooperation.

This effort was carried out to contain the water flow and prevent the flooding from spreading to other residential areas. This repair of the breached embankment demonstrates police’s commitment to disaster management and demonstrates the police's presence among the community during emergencies.

The Mobile Brigade Commander of Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto, emphasized that the swift action taken by his personnel is a concrete manifestation of the police's dedication to the community. 

He assured that his party will continue to prioritize collaboration and concern to provide a sense of security and assist in the recovery of affected residents.

"Together, the handling of the breached embankment in Muara Gembong is proceeding smoothly. The situation at the location is gradually returning to normal, and it is hoped that the community can return to their daily activities," he explained.
