Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has suspended 190 coal and mineral mining licenses following a comprehensive evaluation by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal after findings of regulatory non-compliance in post-mining reclamation and production activities.

“This is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by Ditjen Minerba,” said Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung at the Green Energy Summit 2025 in Jakarta on Tuesday (23/9/2025).

He said that some companies exceeded production quotas beyond their approved Work Plan and Budget, while others failed to meet reclamation obligations. The suspensions are temporary but may lead to further sanctions depending on the outcome of the evaluation.

Despite the suspension, affected companies are required to continue environmental monitoring and site maintenance in their licensed mining areas. The ministry emphasized that compliance with reclamation and environmental management remains a non-negotiable obligation.
