Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The North Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Midi Siswoko implores the public to stay calm following the determination of Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba as graft suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
As the message was announced, Siswoko reports that the situation is still safe and sound and reiterated to people to jointly maintain the situation together with the police force.
“To the people of North Maluku, we implore you not to excessively react to this situation as this is part of the legal process which complies with the applicable law. As a state of law, justice must be upheld,” explains the police chief on Wednesday (12/20/2023).
Siswoko also asks the public not to pull the seal put by KPK at several buildings after the arrest of North Maluku Governor.
“We ask the public regarding places that have been sealed by KPK to not pull the seal away as that is an act of violation. We have to respect the ongoing legal process,” implore Siswoko in his closing statement.
