Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy Chief of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono said on Sunday (1/2/2026) that the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) and Traffic units serve as the "front face" of the institution.

Speaking at a technical guidance session in South Jakarta, he stressed that officer conduct at these touchpoints directly dictates the public's perception of the Indonesian National Police (INP).

"Most people come to the police station with various urgent needs. Our attitude, speech, and communication must be carefully maintained to avoid causing discomfort or hurting people's feelings," Chief Dekananto said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The training session aimed to adapt to rapidly changing social dynamics and public behavior. Officers were instructed to implement the  principles of “Smile, Greet, Salute” to foster a more approachable and professional image.

Chief Dekananto reminded personnel that building public trust starts with empathy and integrity, urging them to avoid any violations that could tarnish the institution's reputation.
