Inp.polri.go.id - Bangkok.Indonesia’s newly formed women's doubles duo, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, won their first international title together after a grueling battle at the Thailand Masters 2026.
On Sunday (1/2/2026), the pair staged a dramatic comeback at the Nimibutr Stadium to defeat China's world number eight, Li Yi Jing and Bao Li Jing, with a final score of 15-21, 21-15, 21-18.
The victory was hard-fought, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. After dropping the first game, "Tiwi" and Fadia tightened their defense and found their rhythm, dominating the second game. The deciding set saw a tense back-and-forth exchange, but the Indonesians held their nerve at 15-15 to pull ahead and seal the championship.
"I am so happy to win with a new partner. This is a great boost for us moving forward," said Tiwi, as cited by antaranews.com
For Fadia, the win was particularly sweet as it marked a successful title defense in Bangkok, having won the same tournament last year with her previous partner, Lanny Tria Mayasari.
