inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is scheduled to depart for Riau this afternoon to inspect forest and land fires. General Sigit will conduct air patrols in Riau's forest and land fire hotspots.

General Sigit will begin inspecting forest and land fires in Riau from Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Pekanbaru, Riau, on Thursday (July 24, 2025) at approximately 12:40 p.m.

He and his entourage will be greeted by Riau Governor Abdul Wahid, along with the Riau Provincial Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan, and other key regional officials.

INP Chief will also hear presentations on forest and land fire management in Riau from the Head of the Riau Provincial Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Edy Afrizal, and the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Riau Regional Police.

As is known, forest and land fires in Riau are a serious concern. The government has warned about the haze that is starting to threaten neighboring countries.
