Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government has officially waived penalties for late tax payments and annual tax return (SPT) filings due to the HIndu’s Nyepi Day of Silence and Muslim’s Eid al-Fitr holidays.
This decision, based on the Director General of Taxes Decree No. 79/PJ/2025,was issued on Tuesday.
"This policy ensures fairness and legal certainty for taxpayers affected by the long holiday period. We want to provide flexibility while maintaining compliance," said Dwi Astuti, the Director of Taxation Education, Services, and Public Relations at the Directorate General of Taxes, said on Wednesday (26/3/2025).
Taxpayers who miss the 31 March 2025 deadline for Personal Income Tax (PPh) Article 29 payments and SPT filings can comply without penalties until 11 April 2025.
No Tax Collection Letter (STP) will be issued for late submissions within this grace period.
The policy aims to accommodate the extended national holiday from Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr, which lasts until 7 April 2025, preventing potential delays for taxpayers.
