Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto visited the family home of the late First Brigadier (posthumous) M. Ghalib Surya Ganta in Bandarlampung, Lampung, on Wednesday (26/3/2025).

During the visit, Chief Sigit personally awarded a non-commissioned officer proactive recruitment (Rekpro Bintara) placement to Daffa, Ghalib’s cousin, in recognition of Ghalib’s sacrifice during a police raid on an illegal cockfighting gambling operation.

"Though he is no longer with us, Ghalib and his family remain part of our larger family. We will stand by them," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Chief Sigit reiterated that both the INP and the TNI are committed to a thorough investigation into the incident and will take firm action against any police officers found involved in the illegal gambling operation.

Three officers, including Ghalib, were fatally shot during the raid in Way Kanan, Lampung, on March 17. TNI soldier Second Corporal Bazarsyah has been officially named a suspect in the shooting.
