Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration  has waived Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) for residential properties valued under Rp 2 billion and apartments below Rp 650 million. 

“If a house’s NJOP is under Rp 2 billion, its property tax is waived. The same applies to apartments below Rp 650 million,” Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said on Wednesday (26/3/2025), referring to the tax object selling value,

This policy, outlined in Governor’s Decree No. 281/2025, aims to ease the financial burden on lower and middle-class residents. However, it does not apply to multiple property owners. The second home gets a 50 percent tax reduction, while the third and subsequent properties remain fully taxable.

Governor Pramono also addressed vehicle taxes, affirming that second and subsequent motor vehicles in Jakarta will be taxed. 

“Unlike some regions, we will continue to impose taxes on additional vehicles,” he added. 

The tax exemption for properties is expected to benefit many Jakarta residents while ensuring fair contributions from wealthier residents
