inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Fajar Riza Ul Haq, emphasized the government's commitment to realizing violence-free schools through a number of the Ministry's priority programs.

"This is not just a matter of administrative regulations. This is about our moral and political courage to protect Indonesian children from violence," said Fajar on Thursday (7/31/2025).

He stated that several priority programs include the refinement of Ministerial Regulation No. 46 of 2023 to close gaps in violence and adapt to the field context; the establishment of a cross-ministry Violence Prevention and Handling Working Group (PPKSP) to ensure ongoing coordination and evaluation; and capacity building of the Task Force and Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK) through technical training and regular mentoring.

In addition, other priority programs include the development of a practical pocketbook as a guide for implementation in schools; the involvement of civil society, psychologists, and legal personnel in victim recovery; regular monitoring and evaluation, especially for cases that receive widespread public attention; and strengthening public communication and policy dissemination, not only to school principals but also to teachers, parents, and the wider community.

Furthermore, he continued, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education's efforts to prevent violence in schools include strengthening the role and capacity of guidance of counseling teachers.

"Counseling is one approach to preventing violence and strengthening the TPPK," added Fajar.

He added that the issuance of Ministerial Regulation Number 11 of 2025 also strengthens the role of teachers involved in the TPPK by replacing their respective workloads through TPPK activities.

Fajar said the regulation also regulates the role of homeroom teachers as student companions, both in academic and non-academic areas.

"This regulation fulfills our commitment to strengthening the prevention and handling of violence in educational institutions," said Fajar.
