Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The government distributed 365,540 tons of rice under the National Food Assistance Program across all provinces on Thursday (24/7/2025), targeting 18.27 million low-income families. 

The nationwide rollout was symbolically launched at the Siliwangi Regional Military Command Headquarters in Bandung, West Java, attended by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.

"This food assistance is part of the economic stimulus for June and July. In some areas, we combine the two months of aid. Our target is 18.27 million beneficiary families," said Arief Prasetyo Adi, the Head of the National Food Agency, (Bapanas) during an online monitoring session, as reported by antaranews.com

In West Java alone, about 3.4 million families will receive a total of 69,200 tons of rice. The aid program involves local administration and the military, with digital verification via a rice aid application. In Bandung, 1,703 tons were allocated for 85,165 families.
