Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government and state energy company PT Pertamina have accelerated efforts to restore fuel and LPG distribution in flood- and landslide-hit areas of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra by deploying air and sea routes to bypass damaged roads.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia inspected on Friday (5/12/2025) fuel stations and evacuation sites in Sibolga alongside Pertamina executives.
“Some areas cannot be reached by road, so we are using planes and even rafts to transport supplies,” he said, as cited by antaranews.com
Fuel and LPG stock remain sufficient, but land distribution is still hampered by broken roads and bridges. Authorities urged fuel stations to extend operating hours to support heavy equipment, ambulances, logistics, and evacuation.
PT Pertamina has deployed fuel for heavy machinery, LPG for public kitchens, and avtur for the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) aircraft. Fuel is also being airlifted to isolated regions, including Bener Meriah and Central Aceh, with gas stations in Sibolga, North Sumatera gradually resuming service.
