inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, has requested that regional legal products truly support the people of Indonesia.
"In creating legal products, we must be careful and not cause (negative) impacts," said the Minister of Home Affairs, Wednesday (8/27/2025).
In drafting regional legal products, regional governments must consider all aspects, from negative impacts to public acceptance.
The Minister of Home Affairs stated that legal products must heed the principles of socialization. This is done to determine how the legal product impacts the community and how it can be accepted given the community's economic conditions.
"Then, strengthening the investment climate so that the private sector can thrive. The key is to be on the side of the people, don't complicate things, and don't create regulations that further create problems," he said.
The Minister of Home Affairs also emphasized the importance of considering the conditions of the community when drafting policy regulations. Because, if the policy is deemed inappropriate, it will give rise to resistance from the community.
"Policy communication is also an important thing that needs to be considered," he said.
The Minister of Home Affairs also urged all regional governments across Indonesia to simplify business licensing. He believes this will boost regional revenue (PAD).
"I respectfully request that you revive the business world, starting with licensing," the Minister said.
According to the Minister, increasing PAD is crucial for regions because it will strengthen fiscal capacity. In this context, regions are asked to absorb the aspirations of business actors and creative economy activists to provide effective and efficient licensing services.
