"Health research products can basically be developed from various scientific disciplines. Even material research in the aerospace or automotive fields can be adapted to produce innovations relevant to medical needs," said the Director General of Research and Development, Fauzan Adziman on Thursday (10/2/2025).

He said this support is given because the interconnectedness of science and technology fields opens many opportunities for the birth of various innovations.

"The ministry has prepared strategic programs and research funding schemes to strengthen the science and technology ecosystem, especially in the health sector that has a real impact on society," said Fauzan.

He emphasized that strengthening talent development is a crucial factor in developing a competitive and sustainable national health industry.

Jeffri Ardiyanto, Director of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Resilience at the Ministry of Health, also emphasized strategic implementation in efforts to realize transformation in the healthcare sector.

"One important strategy in transforming the health security system is to increase the resilience of the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, such as vaccines, medicines, and medical devices, both in terms of quantity and value," he said.
