Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Director General of Health Services of the Ministry of Health, Azhar Jaya, says that his party is collaborating with the regional government and other related stakeholders to prepare 15,000 health facilities in the 38 provinces to anticipate emergency situations during the homecoming season. Azhar explains that the medical facilities consist of more than 10,000 Community Health Centers, 3,000 hospitals, and more than a thousand medical service posts. “There will be posts that we will establish, from toll roads to tourist destinations,” says Azhar on Thursday (4/4/2024). He explains that the medical service post would also be available in the rest area. The Health Ministry has also collaborated with the police and transportation ministry to determine which location should the medical post be established. “And we have instructed our personnel to continue to operate during the holiday season. It is true, we don’t have a day off. Maybe only several non-functional employees we permit to give them leave,” said Azhar. Furthermore, Azhar states that the medical post will serve the public free of charge. However, if additional equipment or service are needed, then the public could still use their BPJS insurance to cover the cost. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
