Chief of West Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Suntana, stated that people to be advised to avoid crowds. Police also deploy personnel to remind the people to obey Health Protocols. "There will be no traffic insulation or closure, but we will remind people to obey Health Protocols", he explained on Monday (20/12/21).
Police Inspector General Suntana advised people to stay home during Christmas and New Year to minimise Covid-19 transmission, mainly the new Omicron variant.
"We advised the people to celebrate Christmas and New Year, not outside their home. Please celebrate it at home", the Chief of Regional Police said.
The two-star general also appreciates vaccination acceleration in West Java. He said that the vaccination rate in West Java had surpassed the government target of 70% of people being vaccinated. "The most outstanding is, I thank the West Javanese because the first dose has been administered to 100% of the population, and 80% for the second dose for Bandung City", the Chief of Regional Police said.
