In Span of Three Weeks, South Sumatra Police Managed to Disclose 36 Drug Abuse Cases

inp.polri.go.id -  The South Sumatra Regional Police continue their efforts in eradicating drug abuse. During the third week of November 2022, 36 drug cases were disclosed with a total of 49 suspects. Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Commissioner Supriadi said that of the 49 suspects arrested in various places, 37 were dealers and 12 drug users. "This is part of the efforts in eradicating the drug network. And this efforts continues to be done to ensure that our younger generation is safe from the danger of drugs," explained Commissioner Supriadi (11/21). From the arrest of the suspects, police officers managed to secure evidence of 187.25 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 316.64 grams of marijuana, and 17.5 ecstasy pills. "From the evidence, at least it is estimated that we had succeeded in saving at least 1,474 youngsters from the danger of the drugs," explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police.
