Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia and China have agreed to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) cooperation through the launch of the AI Application Cooperation Center, initiated by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, the Indonesia Technology Alliance (ITA), and China’s Tsinghua University.
The partnership was announced last week at the China-ASEAN AI Ministerial Roundtable 2025 in Nanning, Guangxi.
“With combined expertise and resources, we can accelerate AI adoption in Indonesia and contribute to technological progress not only in the region but also globally,” said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria in a statement released by Indosat on Tuesday (23/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com
The initiative will focus on practical AI applications in education, healthcare, and food security, priority areas for Indonesia’s long-term development and digital inclusion.
