Inp.polri.go.id - New York. President Prabowo Subianto pledged to send up to 20,000 troops to global conflict zones under United Nations peacekeeping missions during his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday (23/9/2025).
“We believe in the UN and will continue to serve wherever peace needs guardians, not only with words but with boots on the ground,” he told delegates, earning applause inside the General Assembly Hall, as reported by antaranews.com.
He said Indonesia, already among the largest contributors of peacekeepers, is ready to deploy forces to hotspots including Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and Libya if mandated by the UN Security Council and General Assembly.
President Prabowo also vowed financial support, stressing that Indonesia would not only commit personnel but also contribute resources to strengthen the UN’s peace agenda. He called for global solidarity, emphasizing that true peace can only be achieved through international cooperation.
