Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian government has issued a strong condemnation of Israel's intensifying military strikes across Lebanon, labeling the actions a flagrant violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and international humanitarian law.
“Indonesia calls on all parties to respect Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity and to cease attacks that endanger civilians and vital infrastructure,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a written release on Saturday(14/3/2026) following reports of over 400 fatalities, as cited by antaranews.com
The escalating conflict, which has reached as far as the capital city of Beirut, has raised significant concerns for the safety of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
Indonesia expressed deep concern over attacks on UNIFIL outposts that injured peacekeepers, reminding all belligerents of their legal obligation to guarantee the security of UN personnel and property. Despite the heightened risks, the Ministry praised the resilience of the Indonesian "Garuda Contingent" serving in the mission and reaffirmed that the safety of Indonesian personnel remains a paramount national priority as they continue their peacekeeping duties.
