Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia has strongly condemned the Israeli military attack in Jenin, West Bank, which resulted in the loss of lives and injuries to numerous Palestinian civilians.
In a Twitter statement on Tuesday (4/7/23), the ministry stated that the military assault is unacceptable and exacerbates the already dire humanitarian situation in Palestine, impeding efforts towards peace. Indonesia also urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to promptly and resolutely enforce all relevant UNSC resolutions without exception.
The ministry emphasized that Israel's actions cannot be tolerated and called for swift action.
According to reports, eight Palestinians have been reported dead, while approximately 80 others sustained injuries following the Israeli military attack in Jenin on Monday (3/7).
Eyewitnesses reported the presence of armored vehicles, accompanied by drones and helicopters, invading the city and refugee camps in Jenin.
Multiple explosions were heard in the area as more than 10 airstrikes were launched, as reported by the Saudi Arabian news agency, SPA.
