Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia and Cyprus have agreed to enhance their economic partnership, focusing on trade, investment, logistics, and services.

The commitment was reached during a bilateral meeting between Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta and Cypriot Foreign Minister Dr. Constantinos Kombos on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue in Bahrain on Saturday (1/11/2025)).

“We are committed to strengthening economic cooperation, particularly through mutually beneficial initiatives in trade and investment,” said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an official statement.

Both sides underlined the importance of the Indonesia–EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as a key framework for improving market access and economic collaboration.

Deputy Minister Anis also expressed Indonesia’s support for Cyprus’ upcoming presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2026 and called for continued efforts to strengthen Indonesia–EU relations. The two ministers also discussed regional issues, including the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the need for sustained aid delivery.
