Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. The Indonesian government expressed "profound concern" on Monday (2/2/2026)  following renewed Israeli airstrikes in Gaza that reportedly killed 31 people on Saturday.

State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, representing President Prabowo Subianto, reaffirmed Jakarta’s commitment to Palestinian humanitarian aid and a two-state solution.

The escalation occurred just one day before the anticipated re-opening of the Rafah crossing, which has remained largely inaccessible since May 2024.

“We are concerned by the attacks, but regardless, we will continue our efforts; it is the Indonesian nation's commitment to help our brothers and sisters in Gaza and Palestine,” Prasetyo Hadi said during a national coordination meeting, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Indonesia is now a member in the international Board of Peace (BoP), a charter President Prabowo signed during the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos.

State Secretary Prasetyo confirmed that the President is currently pursuing "closed diplomatic channels" through the BoP to strengthen Indonesia’s bargaining power in global peace efforts.
