This was stated by President MBZ during a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi on Thursday (2/26/2026).
"The meeting discussed cooperation to increase investment. Bilateral cooperation is being strengthened. The UAE wants to add more of their investment in Indonesia," Teddy said, quoted from Antara on Friday (2/27/2026).
Teddy stated that both President Prabowo and President MBZ agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and increase investment cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders discussed concrete steps to deepen the strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE, particularly in the investment and economic sectors.
This increased cooperation marks a long-standing and mutually beneficial bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Teddy stated that Indonesia is viewed as a key strategic partner in Southeast Asia, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and future economic development.
President Prabowo welcomed the commitment and affirmed Indonesia's readiness to continue strengthening a conducive and sustainable investment climate.
The Indonesian government also opened wider collaboration opportunities for UAE investors in various national priority sectors.
The Cabinet Secretary stated that this meeting also affirmed the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and the UAE, moving towards a more comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership.
