"As a major urea producer, we are currently in negotiations with three nations seeking our supply," Mihe said during a warehouse inspection in Makassar. "We are strategically managing these talks to ensure Indonesia secures the most favorable market prices and optimal value."

The Minister credited President Prabowo Subianto’s early-year directives for securing raw material stocks, which have shielded Indonesia’s domestic fertilizer availability from recent Middle Eastern geopolitical volatility. Furthermore, Minister Amran reassured the public that national food security remains stable, with rice reserves currently sitting at 4.5 million tons, considered enough to cover domestic demand for the next 11 months despite global trade disruptions, according to antaranews.com.

As negotiations continue, the government remains focused on leveraging Indonesia's position as a strategic global producer to enhance national revenue while maintaining a steady surplus for local farmers.
