Indonesia Falls to Third as Vietnam Overtakes in SEA Games 2025 Medal Standings

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia dropped to third place in the provisional SEA Games 2025 medal standings on Thursday night  (11/12/2025) after Vietnam surged ahead to second position. 

Team Indonesia won 13 gold, 20 silver, and 13 bronze medals, bringing the total to 46. New golds came from swimming through debutant Jason Donovan in the men's 50m backstroke and from Masniari Wolf, who completed a SEA Games hat-trick in the women’s 50m backstroke, according to antaranews.com. 

The women’s 3x3 basketball team also made history by winning its first-ever SEA Games gold. Additional victories were recorded in athletics with Diva Renatta Jayadi’s pole vault gold, water ski slalom team, and mixed kayak double 200m.

Vietnam climbed to second with 14 gold, eight silver, and 27 bronze medals, totaling 49. Host nation Thailand remained dominant with 79 total medals, including 41 gold.
