Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia and Japan have signed business cooperation contracts worth USD 200.8 million (approximately Rp3.30 trillion) during the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum in Osaka, Japan.
Witnessed by Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti, the agreements span 13 sectors including paper products, wood pellets, seafood, chocolate, rattan decor, wooden furniture, coffee beans, charcoal, manpower, and biomass business development.
“This collaboration strengthens trade ties and brings mutual benefits to both nations,” she said in a statement on Thursday (12/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Deputy Minister Roro highlighted that Indonesia’s non-oil and gas exports to Japan grew by 8.8% over the past five years (2020–2024), with coal, nickel, and electric conductors as leading exports. Conversely, imports from Japan rose 8.21%, dominated by metals, motor vehicles, and copper.
Indonesia also sees Japan as a strategic partner in green energy and sustainable products development, aligning with both countries’ environmental commitments and regional green supply chain goals.
