Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Trade has increased the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) reference price for March 2026 to $938.87 per metric ton, up 2.22% from February's figure of $918.47.
The adjustment, effective from 1 to 31 March 2026, reflected a significant uptick in global market activity. Authorities noted that the price hike is primarily driven by heightened purchasing from major importers, coupled with tightening global supplies of vegetable oils.
"The strengthening CPO reference price is influenced by increased demand, particularly from major importing countries such as India and China, which has not been matched by a rise in supply," said Director General of Foreign Trade Tommy Andana on Saturday (28/2/2026) as reported by antaranews.com
The new rate was calculated using an average from the Indonesian and Malaysian CPO Exchanges after the Rotterdam Port price showed a significant disparity.
