inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian government and the Kingdom of Jordan have established strategic cooperation in the agricultural sector to strengthen the food security of both countries.
The cooperation was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Andi Amran Sulaiman and the Minister of Agriculture of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Khaled Al Henefat.
The signing was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and the King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein at the Al Husseiniya Palace, Amman, Jordan.
Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said that the agreement was an important momentum to strengthen food security and increase the added value of the agricultural sector of both countries.
"Indonesia is committed to building mutually beneficial agricultural cooperation. We welcome Jordan's commitment and believe that this collaboration will strengthen our agricultural sector in the future," said the Minister of Agriculture, Tuesday (4/15/2025).
The signing of the MoU is part of a series of bilateral meetings between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which also includes the signing of cooperation in the fields of defense, research and education, and religion.
Regarding the agricultural sector, the two countries agreed to strengthen strategic relations through increasing human resource capacity, facilitating product trade, and collaboration in the fields of fertilizers and agricultural technology.
