inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. A college student, FRY (20) has gone viral after disguising himself as a woman by wearing a mukena and entering the women's prayer area at the Hubbul Wathan Islamic Center Mosque, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). on Monday (4/14/2025) 

The Head of Mataram Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Senior Inspector Regi Halili confirmed the incident and said that FRY was hearing voices that told him to do so.

“He said that he was hearing voices to pray at the women section of Hubbul Wathan Islamic Center Mosque,” says Regi.

Regi further explains that FRY is a fourth semester student at a state university in Mataram. He admitted that he had planned his action. In fact, the mukena he was wearing had been worn since he left on a motorbike from campus to the mosque.

"The mukena had been worn from campus to the Hubbul Wathan Islamic Center Mosque," explained Regi.

He was caught red-handed by the other women and security guard after acting suspiciously. After a thorough examination, FRY was found out as a man in disguise.

Until now, the motive of FRY is still under investigation by the police. However, his reckless action has triggered various reactions from netizens who also shared the video of the arrest on various social media platforms.
